Traditional Pancakes...

Suprised seeing me on weekdays... Oh yeah am on sick leave and hence thought of putting up a blog. Yesterday found me in cooking mood. Sweetpie (Huss) is a die-hard fan of whipped cream and so was pestering me to make some. So I decided to make pancakes - the traditional way topped with whipped cream.

Pancake from Wikipedia:
A pancake is a thin, flat cake prepared from a batter and cooked on a hot griddle or frying pan. Depending on the region, pancakes may be served at any time, with a variety of toppings or fillings including jam, fruit, syrup or meat.

So here's my version:
Makes : 4- 5

Ingredients:
All Purpose Flour - 3/4 cups
Baking powder - 1/2 teaspoon
Salt - 1/4 teaspoon
Sugar - 2 tablespoons
Egg - 1
Milk - 1/2 glass
Butter - 1 1/2 tablespoon
Banana

Instructions:
Mix the dry ingredients by whisking
Separate the egg white and yolk.
Mix the egg white using an electric beater till it gets stiff peaks.
Add the milk to the egg yolk mixing gradually and then add butter.
Add the dry ingredients into the milk & yolk mixture. Gentlhy fold in all the ingredients. Donot overwork on the batch.
Add in the egg white and gently fold in.
Keep aside the mixture for 15 mins.

Put a non stick pan on the stove.
Pour the batter. Arrange the banana on the surface.

Turn over when brown.

 Remove when brown both side.

Top with whipped cream. Serve Hot. Delicious pancakes on service...
