In their remembrance... RIP to the innocent kids of Connecticut shooting!!!

I am falling in line with all the bloggers out there who are taking a day off from blogging and are stepping away from their computers to remember all the innocent lives that were lost in Connecticut shooting.

Today - 17th December 2012 is National Blogging Day of Remembrance, the members of the blogging community have decided to observe a day of remembrance for the people of Newton CT.

Psalm 82:3
Defend the poor and fatherless;
Do justice to the afflicted and needy.
Deliver the poor and needy;
Free them from the hand of the wicked.
...
Arise, O God, judge the earth;
For You shall inherit all nations.

Like everyone, it was just another day for me. Noone would have ever thought that a life-turning incident was about to happen somewhere. Innocent kids getting butchered by a crackpot who forced his way into their school ~ who would even think about such a happening. It has happened and no words can console the victims families. The incident has touched everyone's lives. As I see the news, I draw my kid towards me, an instant urge to protect him. As a mother, I can understand how the loss would have affected the families. Its just tears that I can give them and prayers that I can send them. Let the Lord be with them to keep them strong.

We pray for the souls of those tender beauties, the brave principal and the daring teachers.
May your souls rest in peace.

  4. With two grandsons in elementary school, I am devastated at what has happened and terrified that it could happen anytime, anywhere. We can only hope that it never happens again.
