Caramelised banana - How to

Bananas can never go yuck for me. I love having banana smoothies with variations of coffee and chocolate added to it, mashed bananas rolled in chapathis / wheat crepes or ripe bananas dipped in ghee. When I was browsing for something new to make with banana, I came across the concept of caramelising banana and immediately tried it with a single one. It was a hit and this is a definite keeper as it can be used as a delicious topping for anything.

~What U Need*~
Ripe but firm banana - 1
Butter - 1/2 tbsp
Sugar / honey - 1 tbsp

How I Made it:
Peel and cut the banana as desired. I cut them into rounds. Heat a non stick tawa, add butter. When melted, rotate the pan so that it coats the surface evenly. Drop the bananas gently. It will start sizzling. Add sugar / honey to coat all the pieces. Gently shake the pan so that the bananas move around.

After 2 to 3mins, flip one piece and check if it has browned. When done, flip all the pieces and allow the other side to caramelize. When done remove from the pan.

Serve with toasted bread / topping for ice-creams / yogurts. Stay tuned for my next post to see how I used it.

So thats it Folks...
With Love,

Signs off!!!
