I always wanted to make the ever famous microwave cake. All the microwave cakes that I have seen are chocolate ones and so I wanted to make something different. Something with a flavor that I have not tried till now. Some flavor which I can experiment with. So finally drilled down to a combination of Vanilla, Cinnamon and Honey. I don’t know why I finalized on these flavors but I just felt that they struck a chord in me. And so I whipped up the batter and microwaved the cake… The cake came out soft, moist and with a cinnamon knock. I liked it but Mr.A was craving for the chocolate flavor… Will make it soon for him...
~*What U Need~*
All purpose flour - 3 tbsp
Powdered Sugar - 3 tbsp
Oil - 3 tbsp
Milk - 3 tbsp
Vanilla essence - 1/2 tsp
Baking soda - 1/2 tsp
Salt - a pinch
Cinnamon powder – 1/8 tsp
Honey – 2 tbsp
Water – 1 tbsp
All purpose flour - 3 tbsp
Powdered Sugar - 3 tbsp
Oil - 3 tbsp
Milk - 3 tbsp
Vanilla essence - 1/2 tsp
Baking soda - 1/2 tsp
Salt - a pinch
Cinnamon powder – 1/8 tsp
Honey – 2 tbsp
Water – 1 tbsp
How I Made it
In a microwave safe bowl, combine together all purpose flour, sugar, cinnamon, baking soda and salt.
Mix together oil, vanilla essence and milk.
Add this to the flour mixture and combine well till it becomes a lump-free batter.
Microwave this at max power of your microwave for 2-3 mins. Check after 2 mins and if the cake looks still wet microwave for another 30 s / 1 mins.
The timing is subjected to your microwave power.
The cake would initially look puffed up but would drop down once cooled.
Warm the honey. Add water to this and mix well.
Cut the cake into pieces and drizzle honey on top and serve.
