Ooooh... I love this dish when it comes to Veggie... And it tops second next to Malai Kofta in my order list when in a hotel. So was browsing for some good recipes when I came across a video from Vahrehvah Chef in Youtube and I gave it a go... Turned out to be great...
So here's the recipe.
Ingredients:
For the sauce:
Coriander powder – 1 teaspoon
Garam masala – ¼ teaspoon
Chilli powder – ¼ teaspoon
Tomato sauce – 1 teaspoon
Tomato puree – 2 ½ teaspoon
Milk – 1 cup
Tomato color – a pinch
------------------- Mix the above ingredients with 1/2 cup of milk
For the masala:
Finely chopped onion – 1 cup
Butter – 2 tablespoons
Ginger Garlic paste – 1 teaspoon
Kasurimethi leaves
Salt
If you donot have tomato puree, blend well a medium-sized tomato in the mixie. Heat it in the microwave for 4 mins till the water evaporates completely. For the sauce:
Coriander powder – 1 teaspoon
Garam masala – ¼ teaspoon
Chilli powder – ¼ teaspoon
Tomato sauce – 1 teaspoon
Tomato puree – 2 ½ teaspoon
Milk – 1 cup
Tomato color – a pinch
------------------- Mix the above ingredients with 1/2 cup of milk
For the masala:
Finely chopped onion – 1 cup
Butter – 2 tablespoons
Ginger Garlic paste – 1 teaspoon
Kasurimethi leaves
Salt
The Making:
Keep pan on stove on medium – heat. Add butter. When hot, add the onions and fry them. Once done, add ginger garlic paste and cook them.
Keep stirring and simultaneously add the sauce to this. This way you can prevent the mixture for curdling.
Close with lid and allow it to simmer. Cook for 5 mins in slow flame.
Add rest of the milk and thin the sauce. Add salt.
Add the paneer cubes and bring it to boil. Do a taste test. Add the kasuri methi leaves.
Tasty Paneer butter masala is ready.
